I'm open to whatever you want to do though. It also features a number of new monsters from the then-upcoming fourth anime series, Digimon Frontier. Now, I want this to be a team job, so I'm not going to make any final decisions, but this is just how I feel. My vision for this originally was something that incorporated the clear, clean-cut Pokemon battle system and got rid of the clunky, confusing Digimon World one. Or hell, it's just an idea, but maybe you could only have one? I don't know, it's still in planning stages, right? Surely if we edit it, it won't limit us, because we can keep adding things to the existing features, and remove anything that isn't Digimon enough.Īlso, imho we shoult be shooting for a battle system closer to Pokemon than Digimon World, simply because the point of this project was originally (in my mind) to make an improved, more fun Digimon RPG to play.įor example, I want to completely dump the "Scan" thing, and implement a different way of obtaining monsters. How long is it going to take to program a brand-new PC/farm system and everything that we already have in the SK, essentially developing a brand new digimon SK? Well, the reason I figure we could use that is because it already has some of the vital features of a monster capturing game.
